Good day, again. We had a concert this morning at DuPage Convalescent Center. It was our first one in the morning, so we did some warming up on the bus ride in. Very good concert! The kids did "meet and greet" afterward, and had fun escorting the residents back to their rooms. Afterward, we had a tasty lunch at the Spaghetti Warehouse.
Our second concert was at Asbury Court. The kids are really starting to gel with their sound. They are becoming more and more expressive. I can't wait until our home concerts!
"The Taste of Chicago" is going on downtown, so traffic has been on the heavy side. We didn't get to go to the Art Institute, so headed straight to the Sears Tower. Thanks so much to Lisa who let me borrow her camera when the battery in mine died. The Skydeck on the 103rd floor was closed for remodeling, so we were on the 99th floor. Still very impressive... and what a view!! On the bus ride back toward our hotel, Hannah led us in a devotion on hope, which was very fitting since our tour is "Chicago Hope 2009"!
We finished the day with dinner at Red Robin (yum!). Sorry the blog is short tonight. I'm very sleepy and a little brain dead (although, I know there are those who would say I'm brain dead all the time... and you know who you are). Enjoy the pictures!
Oh yeah! The pictures of the youth with his socks on is doing the moonwalk. I took the pictures with my "sports" setting. If you download them and scroll through them really fast, you can see him moving. He's really good!
