Well, today began with a sad start. We received word that Terry's mother (and Brian's grandmother) fell during the night and broke her hip. Terry and Betty quickly made arrangements to fly out this morning to go be with her. Our first pictures are of a group shot while the full group was still there and then some goodbye pictures of Terry and Betty. We were so sad to see them go, but have been praying for them today.
We knew in advance that Kendell would be flying out so he could be in worship tomorrow. He had a chance to speak to the group before he left. He let us know that two of the places we sang for had activity directors say to him we were the best choir they had ever had come to their center. That reminded Brian of the fact that after the second concert of Thursday, one of the workers said in the many years she had worked there, she couldn't remember a choir ever coming to sing for them. What an impact these kids are having!!
Kendell did get to enjoy a few hours at Six Flags with us... and the kids had a blast! I don't have quite as many pictures today as they were so spread out... but I did what I could before the rain started right as we were leaving.
On the bus ride back to the hotel, Adam, Caleb, and Colter led us in a devotion from Matthew. They talked about how Jesus fed the 5,000 and how it related to our group on the trip. It really struck home with all of us!
Enjoy the pictures! (And yes... that is me dancing with Mr. Six!)
